this film haunted me long after i watched it. the gaunt-looking bale was simply too great to just get a supporting actor honor. too bad not many i know appreciate this movie.
mizkookoo: plot wise and direction is pretty much tried and tested, but bale being bale brought a new level of intensity. have you seen the machinist (2004)? that kind of dedication and intensity deserves a lot of respect when most actors opted to play boyfriends in mindless romcoms.

ReplyDeleteoh yes - i did! the machinist blew me away. a bit slow at times but his character was mesmerising - in a depressing way that is cool.
