first review of 2017 and we have to start with this. ominous? i hope not.
oh man, where to begin. i think the only thing i like about this movie is the scene when affleck got schooled by lopez on the virtues of vaginas. the rest, meh. i think the biggest problem about this movie is that it appears to be going nowhere. just lopez and affleck hanging out. which is not a problem if said hanging out is anywhere near interesting.
i am not going to complain how cheesy (sentimental?) the movie is, because this is a trademark of martin brest. i loved it in scent of a woman (1992), but it doesn't work here.
